Story about the world’s champions of coziness and… pets

Сarpets are almost like pets. They are extremely cute, always waiting for you at home, they get cozy and create popular in Scandinavian countries – “hygge”. In addition, all your guests adore it.

Whether it’s a mod minimalist apartment or villa in an eclectic style, hand-crafted carpets and rugs will be ok. They vary greatly in style, motifs, and design, confidently taking the vogue direction again. Let’s make it clear. We’re not talking about favorite grandmother’s Persian carpet and other rug-resentatives of more practical carpet types, no. We’re talking about the art itself.

Do you know how it feels to have a piece of art under your feet?

Life is full of casualties and we aren’t fans of that. That’s why every carpet we design – is a unique and self-sufficient product of art. One day, people will buy our carpets only at Sotheby’s.

A good carpet is more than a nice picture. It’s about the atmosphere it creates, the accentuation with the right form or material, and the haptics – because, in the end, it’s all about feelings.

When did this whole carpet thing start?

It was the first half of the 20th century when modern rugs began their journey as one of the most celebrated art direction. Before it was fun as well. Starting from 7000 BC, carpets played multiple roles: cave entrance covers, beds for Nomadic people, saddles, knights’ trophies, menats for those sitting on them, wall and floor decorations (finally!).

FYI! If you want to check the strength of your carpet, there’s a recipe from ancient Egyptian masters: take some camels, add some elephants and put those on the just woven carpet. Egyptians did have an eye for good carpets.

Any source of inspiration?

Definitely. Modern carpet-industry is inspired by some famous figures: the most exotic artists like Dali, Picasso, Mondrian, and Pollock; some of the carpet industry-changers like Marta Maas-Fjetterstrom, William Morris, Sigvard Bernadotte, and Josef Frank. What else? Native motifs. A desire to remember. A pursuit of unknown. Nature.

We have a series of carpets dedicated to the power of nature and elements: “In the ocean” with pure magic of the never-dwelling waters; “Sahara” fascinating with its calmness and peace, “Blue mountains” giving you the feeling of belonging and, yes, home.

Native-tuned designer carpet is always a good idea. Especially for a place in need of colorful strokes. Take a look at our “Malva” or “In the garden. Summer” – it seems like all our childhood memories came together on the underfoot canvas.

Carpets are almost like pets. You will love them with all your heart.
